Description of the co-operativeThe Coopérative des vignerons du Québec has existed since 1993 and its main role is to offer a service of bundled procurements when purchasing large volumes. To enjoy bundled procurements and take advantage of COOP prices, one must be a member of the Co-operative and acquire 30 shares at a cost of $10 each, or $300 total. With these shares, one is a member for life, and there are no fees for subsequent years. For all purchases, administrative costs are 5% for all orders under $1000 and 2% over $1000. For non-members, fees are 20% regardless of the amount. Currently, nearly 60% of members of the AVQ are also members of the Cooperative. Services offeredFor 2010, the Co-operative offers bundled procurements of INAO engraved glasses of 7 and 4 oz, plastic bags with the AVQ logo and eco-bags. Please be advised that the services offered by the Co-operative are done by volunteer members of the AVQ board of directors, and if you wish to obtain complementary services for bundled procurements of any nature whatsoever, you will need to get involved.
